Carmelized Bananas

Serves 2-4
This treat is delicious, easy to make, and a great way to add potassium and nutrients at the end of a meal.
Here’s how:
1. Preheat broiler. Peel bananas and cut lengthwise. Place banana halves in a lightly oiled baking dish, cut side down.
2. Heat butter, sugar, mirin, vanilla, and nutmeg in a small saucepan until melted. Stir to blend.
3. Pour glaze over bananas and broil until sugar bubbles and bananas are lightly browned (about 5 minutes). Happy Valentine’s Day!
