Gabriella Ostini, Intern Spring 2015

Gabriella Ostini was born in a small suburb on the coast of Southern California. She now attends Virginia Commonwealth University as a Sophomore in the Painting and Printmaking department.
Gabriella plans to combine her love for History and the Art World by minoring in Art History.

“After graduation I hope to work in a curatorial position for a museum or gallery, along with continuing my studio practice,” she shares. “I am very excited for this experience working at Inkandescent Public Relations, and to learn throughout it and meet new and interesting people!”

Jacob Woisard, Intern Spring 2015

Jacob Woisard is a sophomore majoring in economics at Virginia Commonwealth University. He is primarily interested in behavioral economics and data analysis, and would like to eventually work as an economic consultant. Through working at Inkandescent PR, Jacob is is looking forward to advancing his knowledge and skill set in the business world.

Anna Gibbs, Intern Spring 2015

Anna Gibbs, daughter of Hope Katz Gibbs, is a second-year at the VCU School of the Arts majoring in photography and film with a concentration in photography.

Inspired by her parents who both own their own companies, she hopes to eventually own a photography studio in New York City. She currently assists with the photography and video aspect of Inkandescent, and works closely with the InkandescentTV and Inkandescent Radio teams.

Jonathan Nichols, Intern Spring 2015

Jonathan Nichols is a junior at Virginia Commonwealth University where he is majoring in Public Relations and minoring in both General Business and Professional Writing. He has been interning at Inkandescent Public Relations since November of 2014, helping to promote the Inkandescent Speakers Bureau and “PR Rules: The Playbook”. Jonathan will be studying abroad in the fall of 2015 at East China Normal University and will return to VCU to complete his degree in the spring of 2016.

Eurah Lee, Intern Spring 2015

“El universo habla mejor que el hombre,” wrote José Martí in his poem “Dos Patrias”. The translation: “The universe speaks better than man”.

Eurah Jessica Lee finds hope in this inexplicable world through her independent explorations of people, places, and languages. She is a Korean-American broadcast journalism student at Virginia Commonwealth University. Within the past four years, she has lived in three different countries and learned two new languages – Spanish and Mandarin.

“Being raised by a single mother, I was naturally inclined to explore for something more. Something like the Annapurna Base Camp of the Himalayas in Nepal,” she shares. It took her 7 days, a backpack, and Etta James’ “My Funny Valentine”.

Aside from her academics, internship, and part-time job, Eurah enjoys creating documentaries of her new experiences as she finds pure satisfaction only when getting herself out of life or death situations. “Who wants an easy life anyways? It’s boring.”

Bilguunzaya Battogtokh, Intern Summer 2014

Bilguunzaya Battogtokh is a sophomore at Yorktown High School in Arlington, Virginia. She is interested in studying business and economics and is super excited about interning at Inkandescent. She hopes to learn a lot during the course of her internship and meet new people as well. Outside of school and work, she is really passionate about soccer and is very excited for the 2014 World Cup.

Lianne Provenzano, Design Intern Summer 2013 + Summer 2014

Lianne Provenzano is a rising first year at the University of Virginia. Having graduated from James Madison High School with an Advanced Diploma in June 2013, she will pursue a bachelor’s degree from the College of Arts and Sciences at UVA. She is currently working as a summer intern for Inkandescent Public Relations, and is interested in all aspects of design and publishing.

Elizabeth Kim, Intern Summer 2014

Elizabeth Kim is a junior at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where she is a pursuing concentrations in Marketing Operations Management and Retail. Her role models are Wharton Professor Barbara Kahn, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, J.Crew CEO Mickey Drexler, designer Tom Ford, and Audrey Hepburn.

Elizabeth is working toward a career in the fashion industry. She believes that fashion is a language and an art that not only has a part in expression, but also can be used for empowerment and self-identity.

Hallie Goldstein, Intern Summer 2014

Hallie Goldstein is a rising sophomore at Indiana University in Bloomington where she studies broadcast journalism. She is a proud member of the Media Scholars, a small group of students that are passionate about media and excel in their field.

Along with broadcasting, Hallie is interested in telecommunications. Hallie is also passionate about children suffering in Africa and has studied the Yoruba language which is spoken in Nigeria and other parts of western Africa.

Her goal is to have a career that allows her to travel the world and report from unique locations. Her dream job would be taking over for Giuliana Rancic as a reporter for E news.

Angie Leon, Intern 2014

Angie Leon is a junior at Washington Lee high school. “I have a passion for animals and I’m interested in becoming a veterinarian when I’m older,” she says. “I also love learning sign language and new ways to communicate.” Angie joined the Inkandescent Intern team in January 2014.

Monica Panlilio, Intern fall 2013-2014

Monica is a senior at Washington Lee High School in Arlington, Virginia. She is interested in the social sciences such as sociology and anthropology. She hopes to major in English and education in college.

Lysa Diarra, Intern summer 2013-2014

Lysa Diarra is a junior at Washington-Lee High School in Arlington VA. She is pursuing an International Baccalaureate Diploma, and enjoy studying different cultures, ideas, and taking on new challenges.

“After high school, I hope to pursue a higher education degree in a field that I am passionate about, and can contribute greatly to,” she says. “By joining the Inkandescent Internship team, I hope to expand my knowledge of the Public Relations and Marketing industry while bringing a diverse and new approach to the already dynamic and successful company of The Inkandescent Group, LLC.”

Lucas Alexander, Spring + Summer Intern 2013

Lucas Alexander is a junior at the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business.

He is pursuing majors in Corporate Finance and Human Resources management with a minor in Communication.

He is currently working as an intern at Inkandescent Public Relations, and hopes to pursue a higher education degree upon graduating from college in May 2014.

Rachel Biderman, Summer Intern 2013

Rachel Biderman will be a senior at James Madison High School in the fall. She is currently working as a summer intern for Inkandescent Public Relations, and is both interested and ecstatic for this opportunity. Following her high school graduation in May of 2014, she hopes to pursue the social sciences in higher education, perhaps communications or law.

Shoshana Levenson, Summer Intern 2013

Shoshi Levenson is a sophomore at Walt Whitman High School in Fairfax, VA. She is interested in human psychology, writing, social media, and communication. She looks forward to working as a summer intern at Inkandescent Public Relations, and is eager to learn a lot about the public relations field.

Molly Norrbom, Summer Intern 2013

Molly Norrbom is a rising junior at the College of William and Mary. She is majoring in English and Linguistics and is considering the field of literary publishing.

Ashley Freund, summer intern 2012; editorial assistant fall 2013-spring 2014

Ashley Freund is the new editorial assistant at the Inkandescent Group, a promotion she received in September 2012 after successfully completing the company’s eight-week summer intern program.

In addition to managing and maintaining the company’s comprehensive networking website, www.InkandescentNetworking.com, she assists with writing press releases, transcribing interviews, and working on the company’s monthly business magazine, www.BeInkandescent.com.

A 2013 graduate of Virginia Tech, Freund earned a Communications degree with a focus on Public Relations. She minored in English minor, with an emphasis on Creative Writing.

Laura Gomez, summer intern 2012

In the summer of 2012, Laura Gomez successfully completed the Inkandescent Group’s eight-week summer intern program. In addition to doing extensive research on the speakers bureau that the company launched in the fall of 2012, InkandescentSpeakers.com, she learned to manage and maintain our databases, and participated in weekly planning meetings.

A fourth-year college student, Laura Gomez is pursuing a double bachelor’s degree in Administration and Business Management, and in Advertising and Public Relations, at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Spain. She also is currently participating in an online investments simulator program.

Catherine Thombs, summer intern 2011

In the summer of 2011, Catherine Thombs successfully completed the Inkandescent Group’s eight-week summer intern program. In addition to being our lead researcher on InkandescentNetworking, which we launched in August 2011, she helped to manage and maintain the website’s complex database.

With the goal of pursuing a career in the communications field, Thombs earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, before studying for a Master of Arts in English and Publishing from Rosemont College in Pennsylvania.

Micaela Barrett, summer intern 2010 — editorial assistant thru 2011

Micaela Barrett trained with the Inkandescent Group LLC through the summer of 2010 before being hired to be the company’s assistant editor at Inkandescent Public Relations, and its flagship monthly business magazine, Be Inkandescent, through 2011.

With a BFA in Scenic Design from SUNY Purchase, Micaela is proud to provide an unorthodox yet discerning eye and a perpetually broadening understanding of data entry and office management. Her educational background fostered and nourished her talent for conquering any task, no matter how daunting or random.
